In a Monday blog post, American anime distributor Funimation asked fans to contact the television service provider verizon in support of FUNimation Channel. verizon announced its plans to stop carrying channel in its FiOS television service last week, citing “very low viewership.”
The blog post asked fans to call Verizon at 1-800-VERIZON, and tweet to Verizon’s Twitter accounts @FiOSTV and @Verizon, as well as post on the verizon fios Facebook page. FUNimation Channel also posted a petition to keep the channel, but cautions that calls and Twitter and Facebook posts are the most effective.
